Leger, the Research Intelligence Group, polled 500 Greater Toronto Area residents to determine brand awareness of personal injury firms. The results showed that, in the space of a year, Diamond and Diamond increased aided awareness of the firm by 11 percentage points. The increase was compared to a survey using the same questioning, released in 2016.

According to the poll, four in five (79%) GTA residents have a degree of awareness of the firm. The second most recognized firm was listed at 44%, thirty-five percentage points behind Diamond and Diamond.

“Our firm has cemented itself as a leader in the personal injury space through tough advocacy and customer service excellence” says lawyer, Jeremy Diamond.

Top Income Earners, those earning $100,000 or more had the highest awareness of the firm at 86%.

In a second survey, individuals were asked to name a personal injury firm without a list of names. Diamond and Diamond Lawyers gained six-points (compared to 2016) in being top-of-mind among GTA residents and scored 27%. The next most competitive firms registered at 3 and 2% respectively.

There are laws in place for professional drivers dictating how long they ought to be on the road and how long they should rest. This is extremely difficult to monitor. Those regulations do not exist for private drivers however if you are drowsy and drive you could be charged with among other things careless driving and reckless driving.

The key when driving is to be alert. If you are not alert or distracted or tired you are a danger, end of story. Life is too precious. Do not be responsible for someone’s death. You do not want to live with the guilt for the rest of your life that you prematurely stole someone’s life by drinking, doing drugs, being distracted or being drowsy behind the wheel.

When a doctor is performing a surgery on you, you have a right to know how it went and if anything went wrong. Don’t forget mistakes are made all the time. Doctors are allowed to make some mistakes in this province, they are not allowed to make mistakes that no other reasonable doctor would make. They are not allowed to injure you or harm you in an irreparable way if you did not consent to the risk.

Medical malpractice cases are tricky and difficult to sue. These black boxes would help streamline the process and determine whether doctors were negligent or not. As a patient myself I would like the added pressure so that the doctor would know he or she is being watched. It will be interesting to see what other hospitals follow suit.

Here’s a little excerpt about our favourite personal injury lawyer:

How do you interweave fitness and exercise with your fast paced industry?

It is not always easy but I make it a priority. Like anything else you make time. I generally try to go at the same time every day so the staff know that during that time I will not physically be in the office. However if a meeting or something unforeseen during those times, I just make sure to go later or earlier. Worst case scenario I hit the treadmill in my basement. That’s not my first choice but I try to do something every day except Saturday. That is my one day off to rest.

One other point, because I deal with crazy amounts of stress daily going to the gym releases a lot of the pressure. I believe that this is what keeps my blood pressure normal. The exercise is the healthiest way to combat the anxiety you get dealing in a very aggressive and ruthless business.
