After a tragic shooting at York University, Jeremy Diamond and his Wife Sandra Zisckind spearheaded a $20.5 million lawsuit on behalf of eight students. One student, Annie Malik had a bullet hit her in the leg.
“We’re alleging a pattern of negligence.We’re alleging that security has been overlooked and our allegation is that steps could have been taken and measures could have been taken and they were not.”

Mandatory Helmets in Ontario

After a 15 year old boy died which skateboarding without a helmet in Brantford, lawyers Isaac Zisckind called for laws regarding mandatory helmet use in Ontario. Zisckind explained that the spot can carry with it devastating injury and that at present, Section 104 of the Highway Traffic Act only deals with cyclists under 18.
“We've created laws for use of helmets on bicycles, motorcycles and snowmobiles,” Isaac Zisckind. "Why not skateboarding?".
